The Delta Sound
Genre | Rock
The Delta Sound formed late 2018, playing their debut show at The Monarch in Camden in October of the same year.
During the past year, the band have been busy recording their debut album ‘Things Gonna Change’, tracked and engineered at Propagation House in Cornwall and mixed in Boston, USA by Front of House virtuoso John Shipp (Aerosmith, Alice Cooper).
The band’s name ‘The Delta Sound’ is a nod/pays homage to the music which came out of the Deep South in the early to mid 20th century which ultimately led to the formation of RocknRoll.
Fundamentally a rock band, The Delta Sound rely heavily on the Blues too. Lead singer Sam, son of the late British Blues musician and journalist Julian Piper, grew up playing a Stratocaster from the age of 7 so there is little surprise when it comes to some of the band’s influences & sound!!
